About JLA

The Johns Lake Association’s (JLA) mission is to help protect the health of Johns Lake through communications, environmental education, and advocacy. Objectives include:

      • Reducing the quantity of invasive aquatic vegetation
      • Maintaining seasonally appropriate lake levels
      • Improving water quality
      • Advocating for land and water conservation projects
      • Sharing information on scientific, administrative, and financial aspects of lake and watershed management

The paramount goal of the JLA is to educate and connect with the Johns Lake community by communicating important information about the environment and related regulatory matters via social media (Facebook, Instagram), our website, and the e-newsletter.

The JLA  collaborates with key state and county regulatory bodies to protect the health of Johns Lake and advocates on behalf of the Johns Lake community. Lastly, on a fun note, the JLA sponsors the Annual Holiday Boat Parade!

The Board is composed of the following individuals:

President – Rick Stuebing (Johns Lake Homesites OC)

Vice President – JB Bricklemeyer (Johns Lake Homesites OC)

Secretary – Elisabetta Garcia (Johns Landing)

Treasurer – Karen Quill (Johns Lake Homesites OC)

Director – Scott Boyd (Prominent Point OC)

Director – Dave Stewart (Johns Lake Estates Clermont LC)

Director – John Yancey (Deer Island OC)

Donating to JLIA

The work done by the JLIA board is on a volunteer basis. Some board members spend significant time in meetings, working on environmental issues, and advocating to get the agencies to address important issues.

Our challenge is that we have costs for legal support, liability insurance, website maintenance, and other costs as we continue our mission. Your financial support is very important.

We thank you not only for your financial support but also for sharing what you learn with the Johns Lake Community.
